I’m so grateful to have you here right at the start! My new website just got launch. This is my first post on the blog. A new beginning.


Yes. New website. Pretty obvious right? You wanna know what else is new? I just celebrated my birthday. Not only a new year started for me but a new decade! Crazy right. Those transition are usually known to be scary. They force us to reflect on where we are in life, what we’ve accomplished and so on… For some reason we tend to be disappointed with the answer we find. For years, I had this constant feeling of not being good enough. But, as I grow older, it seems every year is better than the last. And I wouldn’t trade this decade to come with a previous one. For anything. (OK almost anything.) Today, as I reflect, I’m pretty happy with where I am in life, with issues I’ve overcome, dreams I made come true and goals I’ve accomplished. And at the same time, I know that it’s not your accomplishment that bring happiness ( a long subject for an other day!)

So I had a few new beginnings today. What about you? There are so many ways to see a new beginning. What’s your version? Here are a few suggestions if nothing comes to mind.

  • You had a bad day yesterday? Today is a new beginning. Instead of making yearly long resolution, why not make daily resolution. Start your day with a positive affirmation. How easy is it to wake up to thoughts that sound like “OMG, I’m so tired. I don’t want to get up. I hate morning commute. There’s gonna be so much traffic. I have so much to get done today. I can’t believe it’s only Tuesday.” ? Give yourself this challenge. Tomorrow morning, as you wake up, tell yourself one of the following : Today will be awesome. I had such a good night sleep, I feel refreshed and ready for the day. I can’t wait to …

  • You tend to live in the past, hold on to things that happened or be depressed? Be done with it. Let it go. Start fresh today. Sounds easier said than done, right. Here’s a few trick to help you : Start by making the decision to let go. Then, express the pain, sadness or disappointment you feel. Share it with someone or right it down. Take responsibility for the part you played in it. Forgive yourself and accept that is it finish. You can’t change anything about it anymore, and when you’ll be ready, you’ll see why it happened for you instead of to you. I believe everything happens for a reason.

  • You’re holding a grudge? Maybe it’s time to forgive. Letting go of bad feelings can be extremely freeing. Talk it out. Make peace. Or take the decision to let go of that person once in for all.

  • Maybe just try something new. Do something for the first time! Who know you might find a new passion or learn something about yourself.
